Photo Friday: A collection of scoop law signs, from Nova Scotia to Turkey

Thanks to several alert Dog Jaunt readers, I have seven scoop law signs to share with you, each a masterpiece of goofiness. Taking them in the order they arrived in my in-box, we start with a wholesome vision of family togetherness from Lime Kiln Park, on Washington state’s San Juan Island:

Photo Friday: Scoop law sign from Paris

This is not the first Parisian scoop law sign I’ve posted. Nearly three years ago I started Dog Jaunt’s scoop law sign collection with this (blurry) placard from the Marais, and chortled over the owner’s trowel (now that I look at it again, I wonder why I didn’t notice how he’s also shooting a death ray at his dog with his left hand — granted, his pup is clearly not attending to business, but that seems extreme).… Read the rest

Chloe’s Clicks: This week’s best dog travel links

“This week” is a bit of a fiction, I know, given that the oldest link in here is dated January 25, but a more accurate headline wouldn’t be nearly so catchy. The link is certainly attention-grabbing: Australia turns out to be darned pet-unfriendly in many ways, but the Sunshine Coast Daily reports that the Sunshine Coast Council (representing a large urban area north of Brisbane) recently decided to let local café owners choose whether to allow dogs to join diners in outdoor dining areas.… Read the rest
