Reader’s report: Zurich to JFK, on SWISS, with an in-cabin dog

My heartfelt thanks to reader Anja, who gathered in one relatively short e-mail a wealth of useful information about her recent SWISS (formerly Swiss Air) flight from Zurich to New York’s JFK airport with Dr. Pepper, her Poodle — including real-life info about traveling via SWISS, under seat space on a SWISS Airbus A330-300, and the location and condition of JFK’s outdoor pet relief area at Terminal 4.Read the rest

Another new air-side pet relief area at New York’s JFK airport (T4)

If you want to save some money, AirTrain JFK will connect you with the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) or with New York’s subway or bus system for a fraction of the cost ($5 or less, depending on which MetroCard you use). … Read the rest

JFK T5 pet relief area

We flew on JetBlue from Seattle to JFK this morning, and had the pleasure of seeing Terminal 5 (or “T5”) for the first time. Very sleek, good stores and restaurants, and, at the baggage claim level, easy-to-follow signs to the easily-located pet relief area.… Read the rest
