Another small but choice collection of links this week (well, month, but who’s counting?) — starting with a hoot of a link from reader Chelsea, who rightly thought that I’d be enchanted by an article from the Austrian Times about a hotel offering city dogs “training courses in country life,” including “how to use a chairlift and how to avoid trouble with cows.”… Read the rest

Time for another mighty Chloe’s Clicks — mighty overdue, in fact, which wouldn’t normally be a big problem except that the first link is a lovely collection of suggestions from Have Dog Blog Will Travel for…dog-friendly spring breaks. However, there is absolutely nothing stopping you and your dog from taking another vacation in the San Francisco Bay area, Southern California, Colorado, Utah, or Wisconsin.… Read the rest
This week’s collection of dog travel links is a very mixed bag — sure, there are a couple of straightforward pieces, like a useful list from petswelcome.com of dog parks in the Richmond, VA area, and a post from the Take Paws team about their excellent day with their dogs in Avila Beach, CA.… Read the rest
I relaxed a little too much this weekend, and failed to write my Chloe’s Clicks post yesterday. Never mind — here it is, and it’s a good one.

This has been an outstanding couple of weeks for dog travel links. Leading the pack is the Take Paws team, which wrote a bunch of great posts, but I want to highlight their post about U.S. national parks (so often not terribly dog-friendly) and national forests (overlooked, but beautiful and more welcoming to dogs) and their post about visiting several dog-friendly Russian River wineries.… Read the rest

No word yet on the results of Tuesday’s hearing; if the bill succeeds, it would take effect in October 2011.… Read the rest
I have such a backlog of dog travel links for you (two weeks’ worth, plus a little!) that the only thing to do is tell you about them in the order they reached me — starting with the wonderful Maggie in Venice, mentioned in previous Chloe’s Clicks.… Read the rest
This week’s collection of dog travel links begins with a post from petswelcome.com describing favorite dog-friendly restaurants in Charlotte (North Carolina), San Francisco, New York City, and Austin (Texas).
Thinking of winter getaways? Fido’s City Guide has suggestions for a cozy visit to the Oregon coast, staying at Canon Beach and shopping in Seaside, and A Brooklyn Dog’s Life visited the dog-friendly Emerson Resort & Spa in the Hudson Valley, about three hours from NYC.… Read the rest
Hey, I’m not late! It’s still the weekend here in Seattle…. It’s been a very miscellaneous week in dog travel links, so I’ll just dive in — starting, in fact, here in Seattle. The wonderful ohmidog! team of John and Ace visited Seattle and Portland recently, and gave “the hipster seal of approval” to the dog-friendly Ace Hotels (the other two are in New York and Palm Springs).… Read the rest
