Dog Jaunt’s new look: Blog, Twitter and Facebook
My wonderful geek of a husband was responsible for Dog Jaunt’s original appearance, and I loved how it looked. I thought it was clean and stylish and easy to read — but although the picture he used (of a Pomeranian in a travel carrier) was charming, the hero of this site is a different dog altogether, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Chloe. Happily, Walter works with a rock star of a graphic designer. Jenny Lam did superb work for Windows Vista and Windows Live, and since she left Microsoft in 2007, she’s done stunning work for my favorite user experience design consultancy, Jackson Fish Market. Take a look at their latest product, A Story Before Bed — software just doesn’t get more beautiful than that.
So I was thrilled to DEATH when Jenny offered to work her magic on my blog — and on Dog Jaunt’s Twitter and Facebook pages too. And I’m giddy with delight at the results. I love the sense of motion her logo conveys (it was inspired by the thought of Chloe on a bullet train), I love how Chloe’s nose (her most adorable feature) pokes out, and I love how Chloe’s ID tag dots the “J” in “jaunt.” Three cheers for the terrific, talented Jenny Lam!!

I love the new logo. I subscribe and read dogjaunt often. Congrats on the new look.
Thank you so much, Michele! You have certainly been a faithful friend to Dog Jaunt, and I really appreciate the praise.
So the moral of the story is that even though you may not be able to teach an old dog new tricks, you can at least give her a facelift?!
Congrats on the new look!
Goofball! Now trying to imagine Chloe with Botox treatments…. (Thank you for the luv!)

Thank you, thank you! Me too!!
