Chloe’s Clicks: This week’s best dog travel links

This week’s collection of dog travel links is a nicely-balanced blend of adventure and caution. On the adventure side, check out youdidwhatwithyourwiener‘s what-the-hell-why-not post about buying a dog trailer and taking it and the dogs for an inaugural bike ride from Mukilteo (just north of Seattle) to Langley (on the east side of Whidbey Island). I have just a handful of dog travel links for you this week — let’s start with The 50th Plate, which was featured last week too (remember the Corgis on the beach at Carmel?). This week, I loved author Sherry’s post about the dog-friendly Carmel Valley Ranch Resort, a place I’ve been eying for a while, as well as other Carmel-area attractions that welcome dogs.

Good news: “You don’t even have to own an RV to camp here; they also rent little dog-friendly cottages or parked RVs, complete with fenced, gated front porches  … Read more

This week’s first link asks “Which of Montana’s cities is most dog-friendly?” and describes dog-friendly places and businesses in Missoula, Bozeman, Helena, Great Falls, Flathead Valley, and Billings. And the answer is? Missoula appears to be the leader, but there are excellent options for dogs and their people in all of these cities.

A new (to me) blog called How Sam Sees It has just started a feature called “Pet Friendly Arizona!” Check out Sam the Golden Retriever’s suggestions for fun  … Read more
