I don’t need another dog walking bag — I’m happy with my OllyDog Walker and my Walker Arm Gusset — but I’m a sucker for dog gear, so I bought the Outward Hound Hook-Anywhere Leash Bag anyway. I’m glad I did — it’s a nice alternative to the Arm Gusset, and it’s well-made and well-designed.

I first saw this on a dog-walking hip pack that I wasn’t otherwise enthused about, and I like it: You clip a carabiner or an S-Biner to your dog walking belt, or to a belt loop on your pants, and when you want to have your hands free you clip your dog’s leash handle to the carabiner. Walker “Arm Gusset” for dog walking

I found my Walker pouch in the gift store at the Whitney Museum, of all places. They were offering what turn out to be the larger “arm gussets” (3″ x 4″) rather than the 2″ x 4″ “wrist pouches.” Both are rectangular nylon mesh pockets attached to a wide elastic, but the arm gusset is large enough to hold a roll of poop bags, a key and a goodly supply of dog treats.
