Sounds like a great read! I was stunned when I saw the reference to Le Meurice...stayed there when I took my mom on the last European trip she was able to make...she got very sick and the people there were really great. Happy to hear that just because they spent millions on the redecoration and refurbishing of the place, they didn't use it as an excuse to ban dogs:) It was always more of a family place and I'm glad that sensibility hasn't been lost among the euros.

Whether it's high brow or low brow, it's nice to see people providing sensible advice about how to travel with pets. Since we won't be in the Le Meurice anytime soon with our dogs, I imagine we'll be chronicling the adventures of the more common folk ... not that there's anything wrong with that!

As one of my friends always says, "get away from the computer, and go walk you dog or play with your cat." It's great advice, and we get so much love back from our four-legged friends. It sounds like a fun read.
