I thought he would have to be in the carrier at all times while in the airport and on buses, but the bus driver informed me that they are very pet friendly, that dogs are allowed on-leash throughout the facility (as long as they behave well), and he helped me on with my bags and dog - on leash. Benji loved it there, and it really helped his quality-of-trip to only need to be in the carrier when boarding and on the plane. He had a great time seeing everything and greeting everyone who would pay attention, and a lot of kids enjoyed petting him. What a better way to be, PHX!
